Say Separate TelengaNaaaa...

A famous poet Dasradhi Rangacharya once said
“Naa Telengana Koti Ratanala Veena”
A perfect truth said by a great man. Telengana is definitely a land of resources, land of diverse cultures, and land of very good and “accommodative” people. In spite of these advantages, Telengana is still considered as a back ward place where development is not happening. The statistics speak for themselves the agricultural output, the number of schools, colleges and universities and the most important thing the numbers of state government jobs to Telengana people what not in every aspect there were no proper development initiatives in this region.
There was a GO in 1969 as a consequence to the then Telengana agitation but how far the GO is implemented in good spirit? What went wrong? It’s an utter political failure
Having put the problem forward, I would like to evaluate the possible solutions
Separate Telengana state can be a solution. A separate state means a separate administration (It’s easier to administer small states). Use the resources especially water to Telengana region’s development by building projects, use the coal mines to generate power and sell to different states, since Hyderabad is already developed get the taxes from Hyderabad and use them for developmental activities
All the things mentioned above are to be done by people’s representatives and it is wonderful if the representatives do them but history says something else. From the time when Andhra Pradesh got separated from Madras state till date, chief ministers from Andhra region, rayalaseema region and Telengana region ruled the state for 17 yrs 10 months, 24 yrs 1 month and 10 yrs 5 months respectively. Any sane person can notice that chief ministers from rayalaseema ruled the most but the area is not enjoying any fruits of development. It is not guaranteed that making a separate state will result in development
The vigor in the recent Telengana agitation was tremendous since it is backed by students. Educated people need to understand that the problem is well known but that problem requires a solution. With the existing bunch of political leaders at the helm, separate state will not yield any results
Fight for a noble cause which addresses the problem and yields a result. The same rage and vigor should demand something else. Fight for 610 GO implementation, for projects on rivers, for allocating funds to the under developed areas. Try to understand the political drama and think of the “solution”
Say YES to Telengana development. Separate state jus beat it
